Philosophy
Ray Parks has developed his own style or process of painting over many years. The goal of his work is to capture "the feeling of the place" and depict how all of the physical elements are specifically connected to each other. The wind in the sky, the trees bending to it's will, the shifting current on the water shifting, the sun moving over the field, all constantly changing but all working together. No element can be removed without negatively altering the entire place. When you spend the time in these sacred places you began to feel connected or part of the scene. The goal of these paintings is to help the viewer to reconnect with these natural places and that can improve the soul.
